Temporary Autonomous Art 2
May 2001 - Stoke Newington, London
The second exhibition was held over the 15th to 17th of May 2001 in an abandoned artists studio in Stoke Newington. Light and cosey, it made a perfect reclaimed space for free art. The response was overwhelming! Some form of shape, colour, or frequency filled every spare inch of the building, overflowing out of windows and onto the street. The whole area became a piece of art. Diverse styles and messages overlapped, sitting on top of each other to become pieces of a larger picture. The spectrum of the imagination woven together by the spirit of fun and adventure, revealed the potential of collective humanity. More than forty artists showcased work over the course of the three days!
